Free karaoke scoring app for Windows
Search YouTube in the app or paste a link. AI separates the vocals from the backing track, syncs the lyrics with furigana, and scores your microphone in real time. Everything runs on your own PC.
No backing tracks or lyric files to hunt down. Pick a song and let the AI do the rest.
Search YouTube right inside the app, or paste a link. No API key needed. Imports queue up and process in the background, ready to sing when they finish.
AI splits the original vocals from the backing track. Sing over the instrumental, keep a guide vocal, or switch back to the original at any time, and change the key.
Lyrics are found automatically and timed to the singer’s voice with AI; Japanese lyrics get furigana. If the timing is off, fine-tune it in the built-in lyrics editor.
Your pitch is detected live and drawn against the original melody. When the song ends you get a score and a detailed report.
Everyone gets their own profile and singing history, plus live leaderboards by language.
Scan a QR code to pick songs, queue them and control playback from your phone (local network).
Three UI languages; it follows your Windows display language by default.
Songs, audio and recordings are processed and stored locally. Only score summaries are sent to our server for leaderboards.
It works without a dedicated GPU; processing songs just takes longer.
This is Windows SmartScreen asking you to confirm a new app that isn’t code-signed yet. It does not mean a virus was found. Two steps to continue:
KAREOKIE-Setup-x.y.z.exe, then click “Run anyway”.Why does this happen? KAREOKIE doesn’t have a code-signing certificate yet, so Windows can’t identify the publisher and asks you first. Future versions will be signed, and in-app auto updates never show this screen. Only download the installer from this site or the official GitHub page.
If your browser (Edge, Chrome) says the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”, choose “Keep”.
Yes. Every feature is free right now, with no ads and no credit card. If paid plans are ever introduced they will be announced clearly in advance, and any change to free features will be announced in the app first.
No. On first start the app checks your PC: with an NVIDIA GPU (driver 570 or later) it installs the GPU version, otherwise the CPU version.
Both have exactly the same features; the difference is speed. Vocal separation and lyric sync take several times longer on the CPU. AMD and Intel graphics currently use the CPU version. You can switch later in Settings → Reinstall the AI runtime.
The installer is about 100 MB. On first start the app downloads and installs the AI runtime, with a progress screen:
The speech recognition model (about 3 GB) downloads the first time you import a song. If setup is interrupted, “Retry” continues from the step that failed.
Everything lives in %LOCALAPPDATA%\KAREOKIE:
data: songs, singing history, membersruntime: the AI runtimelogs: log files (useful when something goes wrong)Songs, audio, recordings and member profiles stay on your PC. When you sign in, a summary of each scored song (title, score, date) is sent to our server for your history and the leaderboards; audio is never uploaded. See the privacy policy for details.
No need to come back here. The app checks for updates when it starts and every 6 hours. When a new version is out, a notice appears in the top-right corner; click “Update now” and it downloads, installs and restarts on its own. It never interrupts a song — it waits until the song ends.
You can also check manually in Settings → Check for updates.
Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find KAREOKIE and choose “Uninstall”.
So you never lose your songs and history by accident, uninstalling keeps your data. To remove everything, also delete the %LOCALAPPDATA%\KAREOKIE folder by hand (it holds the AI runtime and your songs, and can be several GB).
Not yet: only Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit).
